Reference Image Guide:
Picking the right pictures for portraits can be tricky. Here are some things to keep in mind when you make your selection:
-
Make sure you can see their whole face, hair and chin included. Remember to include long hair, long beards, or long ears.
-
Pictures featuring a whole figure make the face small and difficult to see.
-
Eyes should be open. They do not have to be smiling.
-
There should not be objects like hands, chew toys, binkies, sunglasses, scarves, or hats covering their mouth, eyes, or nose unless you want the objects incorporated into the final portrait.
-
Profile views are fine if you want the end portrait to be a profile view instead of a straight-on view.
